AFRICAN WOMEN,CRY FOR INVOLUTION

                 THE LESS PRIVILEGED WOMEN
               (THEY CRY FOR PARTICIPATION)

Just some minutes ago I was glued to my seat and gazing with much attention to Gifty Anti's 'The Standpoint' show on GTV as she celebrated fathers. Indeed I must congratulate her and The Standpoint crew for a wonderful job done and doing.
But the sight of such programs on our media always send me into a lachrymose state as a Pan African, are you wondering why? Maybe you can answer me this question: Why should they claim they are the voices of the voiceless, defenseless and poverty stricken African women when all the time their studios are filled and decorated with some privileged Women who all or most of their lives never saw any hardship of the average African woman.

These programs are even conducted in a foreign language which most of our mothers in the burning sun of Africa don't understand. When God graces them with successful years of showcasing their feminine growth, they celebrate the occasion with the female elites, then in papers and documents state that they are helping the struggle process of ameliorating the rather worse condition of the African woman.
I have been a true fun of these women activists across Africa and of course a fun of The Standpoint but I can no longer hide my notions about how this program is so centered on the minority of African women(Educated, comfortable living), if Daughter of God(Dr. Gifty Dansoa Anti) is attached to her goals of addressing the disturbing issues of Ghanaian women then she should decentralize her panel down to the rural women and the market women who really are the victims of the problems she covers, not some people who once had a little taste of the problems and got out of it by their wealth or privileged education.

Moreover our suffering African mothers make up the majority of African women population and so if anything on this continent is dedicated to Women or Feminine side as she puts it, then it must be of greater benefit to the woman in that village seeking for a better life, if not so then the goals and descriptions should be well stated so that we know what we are watching. stop dancing with the elites my dear Gifty Anti. Albeit God richly bless you for the initiative.
